Send Us Your Declarations Page — We’ll Read It With You
Upload your current home or auto policy and a licensed Bryan–College Station agent will go through it line by line: what you are actually covered for, what your deductible really costs you, and where the gaps are. Free, no obligation, and we will tell you if your current policy is already priced well.
Upload Your Declarations Page
Attach a PDF or a clear phone photo. Home and auto together is best — bundling is usually the single largest discount, and we can only find it if we can see both.
What you get back
- Whether your roof is on replacement cost or actual cash value — the difference is often tens of thousands of dollars
- What your wind and hail deductible actually costs you in dollars, not a percentage
- Whether your dwelling limit reflects what it would cost to rebuild today
- Gaps we see constantly: water backup, ordinance or law, uninsured motorist
- A straight answer on whether we can beat your current rate — including when we cannot
About your information
A declarations page carries your name, address, policy number and sometimes a VIN or licence number. We treat it accordingly.
The upload runs over an encrypted connection. Files are stored where they cannot be reached from the web and go only to our licensed staff. We do not sell or share your information, and a review does not involve a credit pull or an application.
Where to find it
Three Places Your Declarations Page Is Probably Sitting Right Now
Your carrier’s app or website
Sign in and look under Documents, Policy Details or My Policy. Nearly every carrier lets you download the declarations page as a PDF in two or three taps. This is the cleanest version to send.
The packet that came in the mail
It is the first page or two of the booklet your carrier sent at renewal — the part with the coverage letters and dollar amounts, before the long policy wording. A clear phone photo of those pages is perfectly good.
Your mortgage company
If your homeowners insurance is escrowed, your lender holds a current copy and will email it to you on request. Useful when you cannot find yours and renewal is close.
What we actually look at
The Lines That Decide What You Pay — and What You Collect
On a homeowners declarations page
- Coverage A — is the dwelling limit anywhere near today’s rebuild cost in Brazos County?
- Roof settlement — replacement cost or actual cash value, and at what roof age the terms change
- Wind and hail deductible — a flat figure or a percentage of Coverage A, which are very different bills after a storm
- Coverage C and D — personal property basis, and whether loss of use would actually house you
- Endorsements — water backup, ordinance or law, service line; the cheap ones people skip
- Liability — the limit that has not moved since the policy was written
On an auto declarations page
- Liability limits — still at state minimum, or somewhere that reflects what you own?
- Uninsured and underinsured motorist — carried or rejected, and whether you knew
- Comprehensive and collision deductibles — per vehicle, and whether they still fit the car’s value
- Rental reimbursement and towing — usually a few dollars a month, frequently missing
- Listed drivers — a household member who moved out, or a new driver never added
- Discounts — bundling, telematics, paid-in-full and prior-carrier credits that were never applied
Questions
Common Questions About Sending Us Your Policy
What is a declarations page?
It is the summary page at the front of your policy - usually one or two pages. It lists who is covered, the coverage limits, your deductibles, the policy period and the premium. Carriers sometimes call it a dec page, a policy summary or a coverage summary.
Where do I find my declarations page?
It is the first page of the policy packet your carrier mailed you, and it is almost always downloadable from your carrier's app or website under Documents or Policy Details. If your mortgage company escrows your insurance, they have a copy too. A clear phone photo works.
Does it cost anything to have it reviewed?
No. The review is free and there is no obligation to move your policy. If your current coverage is priced well and written correctly, we will tell you that.
Is my information safe?
Yes. The upload runs over an encrypted connection, the files are stored in a folder that is not reachable from the web, and they go only to our licensed staff. We do not sell or share your information, and we do not pull credit or run an application to do a review.
How long does the review take?
Most home and auto declarations pages take us about fifteen minutes to read properly. We usually come back to you the same business day, and always within one business day.
Can I upload more than one policy?
Yes. Attach home and auto together if you want both looked at - bundling is often where the largest single discount comes from, and we can only see that if we have both.
Not Sure Whether Your Policy Is Any Good?
That is exactly what the review is for. Send the declarations page and we will tell you plainly — including when the answer is that you should stay where you are.
